Healthy challenges for Europe

Students and teachers from seven countries are involved in the project "Healthy challenges for Europe" and will work with what we see as healthy challenges in Europe today.
The chosen topics are:
Mental health.
Outdoor activites.
Traditional sports.
Water in our culture.
Save the planet.
Healthy food.
In the project we want to focus on the importance of physical activities and a healthy lifestyle to improve and change our lives. Through our collaboration we also want to evoke tolerance and understanding of other cultures. We want to make the students aware of their European identity to overcome prejudices and stereotypes. Students and teachers will meet to share views and findings from their homecountries. The first project meeting will focus on detailed planning and will be held only among teachers. The students of each participating school will suggest a slogan for the whole project and the teachers at their first meeting will choose the one they like best. Before each meeting students will work with the topics in their local schools. In each meeting they will bring their findings and share them with students from the seven countries. At the meetings they will work with and find ways to face these challenges. The students will together arrange different events to take part in. Each topic will be evaluated at the end of the meetings. After each meeting the students will bring their new knowlegde and experiences back to the local schools and implement these in the lessons. We believe our partnership project will help our students to become more confident and open to the needs of Europe, because only through collaboration between European countries can we succeed in facing and solving the problems listed in the project.
